Description

This is a late 18th or early 19th century house, comprising numbers 2 and 4, with a barn attached to the rear. The house is constructed of ashlar stone, with a slate roof and gable chimneys. It has rusticated quoins and a sill band to the first floor. The house is five bays wide, with windows featuring plain stone surrounds, sashed windows with all original glazing bars. A doorway is distinguished by Doric pilasters, an entablature, and a pediment, leading to a seven-panelled door with a glazed upper half. The attached barn at the rear is of rubble construction with a slate hipped roof and round pitch-holes. The interior of the house has been altered.
