Description
No 98 Stricklandgate is a shop that likely dates from the early 19th century, with later additions and alterations. The building is constructed of wet-dashed rubble and features a moulded cast-iron gutter supported by dentils. It has a 45-degree pitch slate roof, which is graduated, and a stone ridge with a stone chimney located at the centre rear. The structure is two storeys high with a cellar and consists of two bays. The entrance includes a part-glazed door and a rectangular fanlight situated between plate-glass shop windows; the left-hand window is framed with an architrave and has a barred cellar window below it. There is also a part-glazed door on the far right. The first floor has two 20th-century casement windows.
