Description
No. 108 and the passage entry to No. 110 is an inn, originally known as The Greyhound Frigate until 1856 and then The Ship, which is now a shop. It possibly dates from the 17th century, with a 19th-century front. The building features incised stucco with rusticated quoins at the south end and has a roof with a 45-degree pitch covered in graduated slates, along with a rendered chimney at the south end. It stands three storeys tall and has three bays. The ground floor has a 20th-century shop front and 20th-century passage doors on the right. The first floor has two paired sashes set in architraves with central colonnettes, while the second floor has three sashes. All sashes have segmental inner heads on the top leaf.
