Description
Mill Brow Lodge is a lodge built around 1900, constructed from snecked red sandstone with ashlar dressings and a red tile roof. The building is two stories tall and has an L-shaped plan, featuring a front porch that is positioned against the side wing on the right. The windows are chamfered and mullioned, with pointed arches and iron casements that include decorative glazing bars.
The porch is half-timbered and sits on a stone plinth, showcasing a 2-light window beneath a corbelled gable that is adorned with herringbone struts and a bargeboard. The right return of the porch has a 4-panelled door and a pointed ashlar arch. The left wing projects out and includes a 3-light window on the first floor, along with a plain bargeboard. The side wing features a ridge stack with a string course and a half-hipped roof. On the right return, there is a 2-light window with altered casements located beneath the original 3-light window, both of which have relieving arches.
