Description
North Lodge to Witton Castle is a lodge built around 1810. It is constructed from snecked sandstone that is roughly pecked, featuring quoins and ashlar dressings. The roof is not visible. The building is designed in a castellated style and has two storeys with one wide bay. The door is framed by a chamfered flat-Tudor-arched surround and is located in a shallow porch on the left, which also has a similar arch under a drip string. There are two-light stone-mullioned windows with deep splays and rebated reveals. The lodge is topped with an embattled parapet that has chamfered coping. To the right, there is a one-storey, one-bay extension that is set back and features a single rectangular light and chamfered parapet coping.
