Description
Holly House is a house built in the mid-19th century, constructed from sandstone ashlar with a plinth and quoins. It features a graduated Lakeland slate roof with stone ridge tiles and ashlar stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three windows, along with a set-back two-storey one-bay service entrance on the right. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed four-panel door with a two-pane overlight, all framed in a Tuscan stone surround. Above the door is a round-headed sash window with a stone arch, while the outer bays have sashes with wedge stone lintels and glazing bars. All windows are equipped with bracketed sills. The roof is low-pitched and hipped, supported by wide eaves with brackets, and features end and central chimneys with wide coping. The right set-back bay includes a boarded pent porch beneath a blank first floor, a battlemented eaves parapet, and no visible roof, along with a right chimney.
