Description

These are two gate piers forming the entrance to Witton Tower, dating from the late 18th century. They are constructed of sandstone ashlar. The piers are square in plan and feature chamfered rustication and pyramidal copings. The north pier was heavily overgrown with vegetation at the time of the survey.
