Description

The terrace wall and retaining wall located north of the main range of Witton Castle is likely from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings. The wall features an embattled design, standing about 1.5 meters high, and includes round corner turrets and bastion-shaped projections that enclose the terrace.
