Description

This is a farmhouse dated 1737, with alterations made in the late 18th century. The walls are roughcast with painted vertical quoins and a red sandstone eaves cornice. The roof is grey slate, with the lower courses made of sandstone, featuring coped gables, kneelers and banded red sandstone chimney stacks. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The central doorway has a 20th-century door within a painted stone surround. Sash windows with glazing bars are double-hung, except for the window above the entrance, and are set in late 18th-century painted stone surrounds. The rear of the building has a 20th-century door within an early 18th-century stone surround, along with Yorkshire sash windows and flat stone-mullioned windows, all within 18th-century surrounds.
