Description

Ivy House Farmhouse and an adjoining byre date from the 18th century, with later additions. The farmhouse is constructed of coursed rubble with quoins; the front elevation has been lime-washed. The roof is of graduated stone flags, with a stone end chimney and a brick chimney at the centre. A 19th-century outshut extends to the rear and incorporates a re-used lintel dated 1694. The front of the farmhouse presents a tall, symmetrical two-storey, five-bay façade with a central part-glazed door set under a bracketed hood, and sash windows. A byre adjoins the north end, sharing the same roof. This includes three windows and a 20th-century Welsh slate outshut to the front.
