Description
6-7 Duke Street is a house dating from 1686, featuring the initials AC on the door lintel, with later alterations. The building is constructed of pebble-dashed rubble and has a Welsh slate roof with pebble-dashed end chimneys. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed door set in a chamfered surround, topped by a dated lintel. To the left of the door, there is one two-light and one three-light chamfered mullioned window. To the right, there are two 20th-century casements in original chamfered surrounds, all under a continuous hoodmould. On the first floor, there are two three-light chamfered mullioned windows and one 20th-century casement in an original chamfered surround. The rear wing, now known as No. 7 Duke Street, is not of interest.
