Description

The Tufton Arms Hotel and shop, built in 1873, is a three-storey stone building with an asymmetrical design. It features a segmental arched entryway leading to the yard, gables, and an oriel window on a buttress. There is a porch and verandah supported by wooden piers, and the windows are paired sashes. At the rear, there is a long cobbled yard that includes a range of former stabling, which is now used as staff rooms. This structure is made of red sandstone dressed with brick and has iron mangers on the walls. The building is included for its group value.
