Description

No. 16 Boroughgate is a building dated 1772, located in Appleby in Westmorland. It is constructed of red sandstone with quoins and stands three storeys tall. The building features tall clustered stone chimneys and has two 12-paned sash windows on each upper floor, all set within plain architraves. The central section is built out in a gabled wing supported by Doric columns, which creates a porch over a panelled door, with a shop on each side.
