Description

The alms table and sundial located south of the Church of St Andrew in Greystoke dates back to 1710. It is made of red Penrith sandstone and features a large flat stone that resembles a table tomb. This stone is supported by six chamfered stone legs and is topped with a square sundial. The sundial includes iron gnomons and iron pegs at the top for a missing cap, along with various Latin inscriptions and the notation "GREYSTOKE LAT 54° 46", T.G. MDCCX."
