Description
The wall with bee boles, likely built in the early 19th century, is located in the garden to the north of No. 4 Prospect Terrace. Constructed from limestone rubble, the wall stands approximately 2.5 meters high at the upper end and 3.5 meters high at the lower end, following the slope of the hill. It features tall, triangular rough coping stones. There are four round-arched recesses, each about 0.75 meters wide and 1.5 meters high, evenly spaced and stepping down the hill, with shaped voussoirs. These recesses were designed to shelter straw bee skeps during the winter months.
