Description
Fairthorns is a house with adjoining outbuildings, likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century, with some later alterations. The structure is made of slobbered rubble and features graduated slate roofs. The house is two storeys tall and has a cellar.
The front of the house is symmetrical with three bays, including a part-glazed door set in a gabled porch topped with a ball finial. There are sash windows with glazing bars on either side of the door on both floors. The building has stone copings with kneelers and stone chimneys at either end. The lower outbuildings are attached to the west side of the house, while a lean-to outbuilding is connected to the east side.
