Description
Ellers House, formerly known as No. 8 Neville Street, is a house that has been converted into offices. It likely dates from the late 18th century and has undergone alterations. The exterior features painted roughcast with painted ashlar dressings and a slate roof. The building has two storeys and five bays. The windows are sashed, set in narrow stone surrounds with segmental heads and projecting sills. The entrance door consists of four raised and fielded panels along with two glazed panels, and it is framed by a pedimented stone doorcase with engaged Tuscan columns. To the right of the main entrance is a passageway entrance, which has a painted stone surround and a segmental head. The left gable is coped and includes a chimney. The interior has not been fully inspected, but the ground floor has been significantly altered.
