Description
This sundial, dated 1729, is located approximately 9 meters south of St Mary's Church in Great Urswick. It is made of ashlar stone and features a base with four steps on the north side. The square pier displays initials: "SJ/WP" on the east, "EA/RW" on the north, "17/29" on the west, and a flower design on the south. The sundial has a round plate and a gnomon.
