6/28 & 8/28 Barn, byre & mill to south of Nether Hoff Farmhouse

Barn/byre range with attached mill. Late C18/early C19. Snecked, squared rubble with quoins. Graduated slate roof, hipped at both ends. 2 storeys with large barn above animal pens. The ground floor openings are all original with segmental heads and are arranged as follows: single; paired; single (now blocked and partly glazed); paired; single (blocked when ramp built); paired (righthand opening wider). 1st floor has small access door to left; later ramp (over narrow passage) leads up to large, segmental-headed wagon door. Small inserted C20 window to right; 3 small windows in stone surrounds below eaves. Southern end of building was 3 storey mill; wheel pit and mill-race survive. 1st and 2nd floors have 2 windows each to south wall, with 1 (blocked) window to ground floor right (all plain stone surrounds). Byre range at right-angles on west side and lean-to additions at both ends are not included.
