Description
Wordsley House, originally a house and now two flats, was built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red sandstone ashlar, set on a chamfered plinth with raised quoins displaying V-shaped joints. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The main entrance features a top-glazed six-panel door within a moulded architrave, incorporating a pulvinated frieze and a projecting moulded cornice, with flanking flights of stone steps. The ground floor has double sash windows with glazing bars in raised stone surrounds, while the upper floor windows are two-pane sashes also in raised stone surrounds. The building is listed partly for its group value with George House.
