Description
The Old Mill is a former water corn mill dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed red and yellow sandstone rubble, featuring quarry-faced dressings, and has a hipped Welsh slate roof. The building stands 2½ storeys tall with five bays, and it rises to three storeys at the rear. There is a large round-arched cart entrance and a smaller entrance to the right, both fitted with plank doors. The windows are casement style with glazing bars and have quarry-faced surrounds. Above the eaves, there are two gabled dormer windows that are half boarded. To the left side of the mill, there is a large iron overshot wheel that is in working order, and the interior retains some of its 19th-century machinery.
