Description

Carleton Hill is an early 19th-century building in the Late Georgian Gothic style. A plaque indicates that the author Anthony Trollope lived here from 1839 to 1843. The entrance features a Gothic doorway set within a shallow porch that has a pointed arch and interlacing glazing bars. There are several two-light windows with wooden mullions and transoms. The garden front is notably high and has three two-storey bay windows, each with transomed and mullioned lights. Additionally, there is a modern sun-porch that has been added to the structure.
