Description
Wy House and the adjoining barn are a farmhouse and barn built in the late 17th century, with some alterations made in the 19th century. The structure features coursed red sandstone rubble walls, which are partly rendered, and is topped with a steeply-pitched corrugated iron roof that has coped gables and kneelers. The building has two storeys and consists of three bays, with a single-bay barn on the left side under a common roof. There is an off-centre 20th-century door set in a 19th-century red sandstone surround. The windows are sash types in 19th-century red sandstone surrounds, except for the upper-floor windows to the right of the entrance, which are small casements set in original plain reveals. The barn has a blank front wall, and there is a rear outshut that is contemporary with the main structure. An extension in front of the barn is not of interest.
