Description

The original gateway, located 30 yards to the west of Blease Hall, is likely from around 1600. It serves as the west entrance to Blease Hall and has been partly demolished and blocked at a later date. The structure is made of ashlar stone. An intact wicket gate features a segment-headed, stop-chamfered architrave. Additionally, there are remains of wagon-arch jambs with similar stop-chamfered moulding, which are approximately 8 feet apart and embedded in a later garden wall.
