Description

The Elephant is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features painted rendered walls and a graduated greenslate roof with banded red sandstone chimney stacks. The structure is two storeys high and has three bays, with lower flanking set-back wings. The main entrance has a panelled door set in a stone surround beneath a pediment. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are framed in painted stone surrounds. The wings also have similar windows and a door on the right. The adjoining farm buildings are not of interest.
