Description
The house and adjoining barn at Brow Farm, dated 1769, are constructed from coursed sandstone blocks with rusticated quoins. The graduated slate roof features stone copings and kneelers, along with stone chimneys, two located in the middle and one at the west end. The two-storey, six-bay house has a part-glazed door beneath a projecting semicircular hood supported by brackets. Above the door is a panel with a dated inscription in a moulded frame: "1769 Thomas and Elizabeth Watson." There are three windows on the left side (the central one being a two-light window) and one window on the right side on each floor, with a smaller window positioned between the floors on the extreme right. The windows are either sashes or fixed, featuring glazing bars. The barn includes a large segmental-headed wagon door, a byre door, and a small window to the right.
