Description

The front and return walls, along with the gate piers, located to the east of Temple Sowerby House, date from the 18th century. The walls are constructed from coursed, squared rubble and sit on a chamfered plinth, topped with moulded segmental copings. The gate piers are rusticated and feature square, corniced capitals with stepped, domical tops.
