Description

The bridge over the moat north-east of Scaleby Castle is a road bridge, likely built in the 17th century, with repairs made at various times. It is constructed of dressed red sandstone and features a single span, single track design with a segmental arch. The abutments of the bridge form the side walls of the moat, and there is a later brick parapet.
