Description

Fauld Farm and the adjoining outbuilding is a farmhouse and former barn dated 1725, marked with the initials T.H. (Thomas Hodgson). The building features whitewashed, rendered clay walls and a graduated greenslate roof, along with yellow brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and consists of four bays, with a two-bay former barn to the right under a common roof. There is a 20th-century door in a plain painted stone surround, topped by a dated and inscribed lintel. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are set in plain painted stone surrounds. The former barn includes a single-storey extension at the front with a lean-to roof and a plank door in a plain stone surround. Additionally, the barn has a plank door with a loft door above, both in plain painted stone surrounds.
