Description

Rose Mount is a house dating from the mid or late 18th century. It features English garden wall bond brickwork and a sandstone slate roof with upper courses made of Welsh slate. The chimney stacks are cement rendered. The building has two storeys and three bays. A 20th-century door is set within a moulded architrave that includes a cornice. The windows are 2-pane sash windows framed in painted architraves. At the rear, there is an extension made of cobbles that incorporates the ground floor of a former clay house. An adjoining former barn is noted but is not of interest.
