Description

Blackburn House is an early 19th-century house constructed from dressed red sandstone. It features V-jointed quoins and a moulded parapet set on a chamfered plinth. The roof is hipped and covered with graduated greenslate, complemented by sandstone chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and four bays. The entrance boasts a top-glazed panelled door with a patterned fanlight, framed by a pilastered surround. The sash windows, which include glazing bars, are set in stone surrounds, with the window above the entrance being tripartite.
