Description

The former Congregational Chapel, dated 1844, is a disused chapel located in Hayton. It features incised cement render with angle pilasters and is topped by a graduated greenslate roof, which includes an original stone chimney stack. The building is single storey and consists of two bays. It has a boarded door with an overlight set within a pilastered surround. The windows are casement style, with intersecting glazing bars set in pointed heads. An inscription reading "FAITH COMETH BY HEARING" along with the date is located between the windows.
