Description
Midtown Farmhouse and adjoining stables date from the early 18th century, with 20th-century alterations. The farmhouse is constructed of painted roughcast walls under a graduated greenslate roof with coped gables, and features cement-rendered chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and comprises five bays, with a single-bay stable wing attached to the right, all under a common roof. A 20th-century porch provides access via a glazed panelled door. The farmhouse windows are casements set in original 18th-century painted chamfered stone surrounds. The stable has a plank door and a similar loft door above. A single-storey left extension features a plank door. A right-angled barn adjoining the stables is not considered to be of significance.
