Description
Old Midtown Farmhouse and the adjoining barn date from the mid-18th century. The farmhouse features cement rendered walls beneath a graduated greenslate roof, with rebuilt brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and has three bays, with a lower barn to the right that is partly used for domestic purposes. The centre of the farmhouse has a gabled stone porch with a 20th-century door. The windows are mostly two-light flat stone-mullioned, except for the one to the right of the entrance, which is three-light, all set in painted stone surrounds. The barn includes an upper-floor sash window in a painted stone surround. The right side of the barn has double plank doors and a small upper-floor casement window.
