Description

Burton House is a house dated and inscribed over the entrance with "J&CJ 1737." It features cement roughcast walls and is topped with a graduated greenslate roof, which includes cement rendered chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays, with an additional lower recessed three bays to the left that were formerly part of another house. The original doorway, which has a stone architrave, has been partly blocked to create a window. There are casement windows in original 18th century painted stone surrounds. The recessed section has a 20th-century door and a 20th-century garage door. The house also includes sash windows in painted stone surrounds. It is listed for its group value with the Bush Inn.
