Description
This is a lamp-post located south-east of Tallentire Hall, dating from the mid-19th century. It is made of cast iron and features a square plinth topped with open winged birds that support a draped urn. The shaft is decorated with a leaf and flower pattern beneath two segmental-arm lights and an upright 20th-century globe on a floral head. Originally designed for gas lighting, it has since been converted to electricity. The lamp-post is listed for its group value with Tallentire Hall.
