Description
Rose Bank is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed red and yellow sandstone, featuring flush yellow sandstone quoins. The roof is made of stone slate and has brick chimney stacks. The building stands two storeys high and consists of three bays. It has a six-panel door and sash windows, all set within painted stone surrounds. A former doorway to the right has been partly blocked, and a smaller sash window has been inserted in its place, also within a painted stone surround. The house is listed partly for its group value with Meadow Bank Farmhouse, which is located opposite.
