Description

These outbuildings, likely dating to the mid to late 17th century with an early 18th-century addition, stand west of Evening Hill Farmhouse. The buildings are constructed of clay, repaired with sandstone, and have a corrugated iron roof; the extension uses whitewashed sandstone rubble with a sandstone slate roof. They are arranged in an L-shape. The clay building, which may have originally served as a farmhouse, has ground floor entrances from the 18th and 19th centuries, a loft door, a casement window, and what appears to be an original fire window on the extreme right. The sandstone building features plank doors and cart entrances on the ground floor, casement windows on the right side, and a dove opening beneath the eaves on the left. External steps lead to a loft door at the right end. A single-storey shed connects the two buildings with a large cart opening. The outbuildings are listed for their group value alongside Evening Hill Farmhouse.
