Description
Low Moat is a farmhouse built in the early 19th century. It features dressed red sandstone with large flush quoins and has a hipped green slate roof with rendered stone chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, forming an H-shape.
The central recessed ground floor bay is adorned with Tuscan columns in antis and includes a 2-pane sash window set in a plain stone surround. There are entrances on either side; the left entrance is blocked, while the right has a 20th-century door with a glazed fanlight and blocked sidelights, both topped with moulded cornices. On the upper floor, there are 2-pane sash windows also in plain stone surrounds.
To the right, there is a single-storey extension that features a triple sash window, which is partly blocked. The rear elevation mirrors the facade, with 2-pane sash windows flanking a central recess. Outbuildings are not included in the listing.
