Description

East Lodge is a lodge for Netherby Hall, built in the early or mid 19th century for the Graham family. It is constructed from red sandstone ashlar and features a Welsh slate roof with slates arranged in shaped bands, along with tall candlestick chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and three bays. At the center, there is a two-storey projecting porch with a panelled door set in a square-headed entrance that has a hood mould. Above the door is a pointed sash window with glazing bars. Flanking the porch are double sash windows with glazing bars, which are set in chamfered surrounds and also have hood moulds. The side windows mirror this design and feature decorated bargeboards.
