Description
This is an early 19th-century building on Wood Street in Maryport. It is two storeys high and constructed of red sandstone ashlar with a plain plinth and a moulded cornice featuring modillions. A string course runs along the level of the first-floor cills. The building has three windows, each with a hung sash and glazing bars set within their reveals. The entrance features three-quarter Doric columns supporting a moulded and modillioned entablature. Above the entrance is a semi-circular head with an ornamental fanlight, and the door consists of six panels. A later iron handrail is also present. The roof is hipped and covered with Welsh slate. A forecourt wall was added at a later date.
