Description

The Postlethwaite memorial is a chest tomb located immediately to the south of the chancel of the Church of Holy Trinity in Millom. It dates from the early 18th century and is constructed from ashlar stone. The tomb features a moulded base and fielded panels on its sides, with a top that has a moulded edge. A rectangular copper plate set within a stone architrave records the names of Miles Postlethwaite, who died in 1712, and his daughter Elizabeth, who died in 1758.
