Description
This is a house, originally a public house, dating to 1753. It is located in Kingwater. The building is constructed of calciferous sandstone rubble with large flush quoins, and has a Welsh slate roof and end chimney stacks made of yellow brick. It is two storeys high with three bays, and features a single-storey, two-bay extension to the right. A plank door is set within a quoined surround, sheltered by a wooden gabled porch. The ground floor has two-pane sash windows, while the upper floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, all within rusticated surrounds. One rendered wall shows a smoothed rectangle where a pub name was formerly displayed. The extension includes a half plank door, a casement window with glazing bars, and a 20th-century garage door. A detached outbuilding is excluded from the listing.
