Description
Down Hall Farmhouse, occupied by Mr. Harrison, is a late 18th-century farmhouse. It features cement-rendered walls resting on a chamfered stone plinth, with V-jointed painted quoins and a painted cornice. The roof is covered with 20th-century tiles, and there are cement-rendered chimney stacks. The building has two storeys and four bays, with the left end bay likely being an extension under a common roof. The entrance includes a six-panel door with a painted-over radial fanlight, set in a Tuscan open pedimented doorcase. To the left, there is a 20th-century door in a painted architrave. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are also framed by painted architraves. Notably, the ground floor window to the left has been enlarged to accommodate a 20th-century casement. The extension to the right and the outbuildings are not considered of interest.
