6/187 No 54 with properties to the rear (formerly Rudd's Court) GV II House with shop (derelict at time of inspection, September 1989). Late C17, largely rebuilt in the late C18. Rendered sandstone; slate roof. Originally single-cell plan with rear stack and adjacent newel stair. 3 storeys. Front: tripartite sash window to 1st and 2nd floors, 8:12:8 sashes in reveals. Shop front largely obscured; recessed entrance to right. To the rear of this build- ing is Rudd's Court (not accessible at time of inspection); the RCHM describes them as one and 2-celled cottages of mid to late C18 construction and they form an important survival of artisans' accommodation ranged behind the principal street shops and houses.
