Description
The Barley Stack Inn is a public house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted dressed stone featuring raised quoins and a chamfered plinth, topped with a graduated slate roof and a rendered chimney stack. The building has two storeys and two bays. The entrance consists of a six-panel door with a radial fanlight, set within a plain stone surround that includes a false keystone and springers. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, also feature plain stone surrounds. There is a 20th-century projecting inn sign on the upper floor. To the right, there is a two-storey, two-bay extension that was formerly an adjoining house.
