Description
The dovecote and attached outbuildings at Park Farmhouse were built in 1843 and are constructed from coursed squared ironstone with slate roofs. The square dovecote features a pyramidal roof topped with a timber glover and an ogee lead roof. It is flanked by two single-storey wings that are symmetrical in design; the left wing has a gabled roof while the right wing has a hipped roof, both of which include central louvres. The eaves are nogged brick, and the structure is partly open on posts to a yard at the rear. The dovecote displays two carved limestone panels with coats of arms: the left panel is dated 1843 and features the arms of University College, while the right panel is dated 1631 and is said to bear the arms of James I. This building is included for its group value.
