Description

This is a house, originally a farmhouse, dating from the 17th century with extensions from the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble with slate roofs and has brick end and ridge stacks. The building comprises two ranges: a two-storey, one-window 17th-century range on the right, and a lower two-storey, two-window early to mid-19th-century range to the left. The older range features a three-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion window on the ground floor and a three-light casement window above, which has a wooden lintel. The 19th-century range includes a central gabled porch with a six-panel door in a pilastered wooden surround, a cornice hood, and three-light casement windows with wooden lintels. The eaves overhang. Inside, the older part of the house has chamfered spine beams with run-out stops and an open fireplace with a moulded bressumer.
