Description
Kites Hall is a farmhouse dating from 1779, as indicated by the datestone. It features chequered brickwork with ashlar dressings and a slate roof. Originally built with a two-unit plan, it has been modified to a three-unit layout. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range of casements, each with flat arch stone heads that include keystones. The entrance, located to the left, has a 20th-century porch with the datestone positioned above it. The farmhouse has large ashlar quoins and an ashlar gable parapet on the right, along with brick stacks at the ridge and ends. There is a one-unit extension to the right that is similar in style but dates from a later period. The roof was likely raised in the 19th century, and the rear of the building is reputed to date from the 17th century.
