Description
Old Lodge and attached barn is a farmhouse that likely dates from the late 17th century. It is constructed from squared coursed lias and features a concrete tile roof. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high, with a two-window range of 20th-century casements set under wooden lintels. The central door is accompanied by a 20th-century porch. Notable architectural details include large ashlar quoins and a gable parapet with kneelers on the right side. There are brick stacks located at the ridge and the end of the building. The attached barn, probably also from the late 17th century, has a slate roof and an ashlar gable parapet on the left. A rear wing mirrors the main house's style with similar ashlar gable parapets. There is a datestone in the right gable that is now illegible but is reputed to date from 1668.
